‘Organic food’ is the most popular word that one gets to hear these days. But what exactly is it? And why is it demand in the market sky rocketing? Have you ever thought of these questions? Then here you are on a right page to know the advantages of it.

Before like 5 to 6 years there was nothing like organic so called food. Or may be even if existed it wasn’t that famous. According to a scientific research, this is a proven fact that organic food does more good to a body then conventional food that just fills your tummy with no much good to the body.

Organic food is nothing but the food items that are prepared according to the norms set by an organic certifying body. On an overall basis, organic food is food prepared and processed without using any chemicals. That is, organic food production does not involve the use of chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or chemical preservatives.

Getting organic food isn’t a big task too these days, they are easily available at direct farms or organic food markets or health stores and even online. There is nothing that isn’t available online these days.

All the good that a food is supposed to hold is being vanished by the chemicals used during producing food. These days we are hardly eating anything good, every item is filled with chemicals or it is adulterated. Even after we know that the food is being adulterated, there is nothing that the government or we people are able to do. Right from fruits to the vegetables and even milk, we hardly get anything that isn’t adulterated these days. This is going to leave a huge impact on one’s body, if not immediate results are shown but this will definitely leave a huge impact on one’s body.

So, it is utmost important to take good care of oneself at least at the elderly stage of life. Consuming organic food at the elderly age will cut down the risk of side effects and helps the body to be full with needed nutrition’s. Here are few advantages of consuming organic food at the elderly stage of life,

1. Helps to get stronger and more energetic body

Organic food blankets you from all the bad things that can happen. No pesticides, chemicals, or processed additives bogging down your system mean a smaller risk of disease, illness, and disorders in yourself. Nothing leave you feeling exhausted and gross like unhealthy junk food.

2. Antibiotic resistance

People are very sensitive to issues of their health, and they often take precautions to make sure they remain healthy, like getting various vaccines and taking antibiotics as soon as a new strain of bacteria makes them ill. However, non-organic food sources, particularly farm animals and feed houses, also use antibiotics to feed their animals. This extra dose of antibiotics may actually be weakening our immune system by basically overdosing on antibiotics, thereby reshaping our immune system so many times that it will eventually be unable to defend itself. Organic food growers and dairy farmers do not use antibiotics in their processes.

Organically grown foods have more nutrients-vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and micronutrients than commercially grown foods because the soil is managed and nourished with sustainable practices by responsible standards.

For example a study verify that five serving of organically grown vegetables such as (lettuce, spinach, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage) provide an adequate allowance of vitamin C, whereas the same number of servings of conventionally grown vegetables does not.

4. It’s a delight to your taste-buds

Yes, organically grown foods generally taste better because they are better nourished, well-balanced soil produces healthy, strong plants. Taste over appearance is a right saying one can use for organic food.

5. Organic meat and milk are richer in certain nutrients

According to few results of a 2016 European study, it is clear that levels of certain nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids, were up to 50 per cent higher in organic meat and milk than in conventionally raised versions. And coming to the factual, conventional meat and dairy are the highest risk foods for contamination by harmful substances. More than 90per cent of the pesticides are generally found in the fat and tissue of meat and dairy products.
